JJ's Red Hots - Charlotte, NC

As a Charlotte Native, I am not new to the food scene in the QC but JJ’s Red Hots has the spotlight today. The original recipes will be the reason I go back. I’m eager to try some of the non-dog menu items they have to offer. But today, it’s about the dogs.

The borracho beans and salsa on The Sonoran (Southwest Style) caught my eye and I was feeling adventurous so that was my pick. It didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was casual and modern. It didn’t feel like I was in a hotdog joint, but in a good way. Friendly service, inexpensive beer ($2 on Tuesday’s), inexpensive dogs ($2 on Tuesday’s) a combo you can’t beat. Obviously, if you can make it on a Tuesday, DO IT.
