Woody's CheeseSteaks - Atlanta, GA

For years of searching Atlanta for the Best Philly cheesesteak in the city. Recently, I came across Woody’s CheeseSteaks in the heart of Midtown. Now, I’ve actually seen Woody's Cheesesteak on the travel channel before. However I’ve always strayed away because I was in denial that it could not be that amazing and there were better places out here in Atlanta to get an authentic Philly. This particular day, I was craving a Philly and my friend was really persistent on Woody's. Not to mention it was 11am on a Sunday. I was riding pass it as I smelled the aroma of the neighborhood friendly small restaurant and quickly made a turn into the parking lot. I went inside and was greeted with a smile immediately. Woody's was opened in 1975 By David Pastroria and until this day, it still has its neighborhood friendly 1975 atmosphere.

The Philly was pretty good. I wouldn’t say it’s “The BEST” in Atlanta but it was good. The customer service is AMAZING. The meat was perfectly seasoned. However, they don’t give you enough cheese 🧀. As told before, always order extra cheese for your Philly. My food was cooked right in  front of me and did not take long at all. The bread was also very good with a great consistency. It holds up very well and stays dry, in place, and doesn’t fall apart from being a little soggy while eating. Woody's Cheesesteaks isn’t bad, and they will serve some good bites until midnight. I would say worth visiting if you're close and have cheese steaks on the brain like I had. Not sure I’d make a special trip, but most definitely would visit again.

Overall Rating out of Scale 1-10 ⭐️ : 8 ⭐️

I give it an 8 star only due to the location.Located right between Monroe Drive and Virginia Ave all while pretty much being across the street from Piedmont Park. parking lot is very small and rests on a hill.Getting out is not the easiest getting out at times)
