Ryan Shazier Honored in Legendary Fashion

During Super Bowl weekend this past February, I had the chance to actually meet Ryan Shazier and chop it up with him a bit with a couple of my other friends. Cool dude. Made me respect him and his game a ton more, especially since I've been watching him since his Ohio State days.

One of the coolest things that I got a chance to witness over the weekend were the different tributes paid to Steelers linebacker by his teammates and fans.

Anybody that's paid any type of attention to sports news over the past week has heard about Shazier's severe spinal injury he suffered during the Bengals game, in which he had to be carted off the field. There's been a ton of support across multiple platforms, none however, as meaningful and monumental to what Steeler Nation exhibited last night in their Sunday night matchup against the Ravens.

I've never been much of a Ohio State or Steelers fan, but it was amazing seeing a 25-year-old, only 3 years in the league, receive such powerful acknowledgements from one of the most historic professional sports franchises of all time. That, my friends, is legendary.

Take a look at the visuals below to see how everyone at Heinz Field honored their Leader in the Middle! #Shalieve
